How To Increase Your Productivity. Four Archetypes Of Productivity

Hey folks! Wow, Productivity has many faces and water currents. This topic sometimes combines such an alchemy of ideas, actions, and possibilities that any person can get lost in the maze of these theories, practices, and possibilities. Don’t forget, to be productive, you need your own learning system! I wrote earlier about productivity and how to be proud of yourself. Now you have an exciting sequel. Today I will look at a very simple and convenient way to understand yourself and open your possibilities as a productive person. I call this system the “Four Archetypes of Productivity.” I closely related these types and archetypes to our mental and physical energy. They look deep into your ability to be a happy, balanced, and productive person.

There are many “Productivity Archetypes” for me, but of these, I highlight only a few more. These are the “Four Productivity Archetypes”. They are like totem animals with their own strengths and weaknesses. They faithfully and tirelessly follow the man in his daily life. Knowing your Archetype, you can find your weaknesses and make them your greatest strength. You can realize yourself better by giving yourself the opportunity to reach your maximum potential.

Let’s get to know them:

The Hawk 🦅 is fire and speed. It can literally dive into the streams of continuous work and saw in it as if it was born for this. Or even make deep, protracted falls into deadlines with ease, getting out of this peak, scattering happiness and grace. The power of the Hawk is instant decisions and quick targets. Boom, boom, boom, and the dish is ready.

They are ready for any deadline, but if it is not longer than one day. Their power is to break goals into small steps, and then any deadline will seem to them like a walk through the blue sky, towards the sun and sunset.

The disadvantages of Hawks are the fear of difficult and time-consuming work. They are more ready to write poetry, but the novel is their weakness. Like a bird that takes off with a piece of paper, but cannot lift a book.

The Ox 🐂 is perseverance and movement. They are strong-willed and work with any load. It is easiest for them to immediately take the most difficult goals and implement them. For them, deadlines are rare because they constantly go at the same speed and the same load. This is always the maximum and minimum load that they can carry. Dual paradox. They are literally capable of doing an incredible amount of tasks with a mixed planning style. Ox doesn’t even need a glider, they already know what to do every day.

Their strengths are in numbers and capabilities. Oxen carry literally an incredible load. Their to-do list has hundreds of items crossed off, and it’s still 12 days on the clock. Such is their nature, slow but sure steps towards the rays of the sun, grass, and glory.

The weaknesses of Oxen are constant overwork. True, for them it takes a few months. Most often, it is apathy and unwillingness to work, lack of ideas, and inspiration. But give them a week and they themselves will beg you to load them with business. It will not be difficult for them to write a whole series of novels in four copies. But ask them to write a quatrain and they will spend a moment on it. Most often, volume is important for them, and not integrity and beauty.

The Dolphin 🐬 (mind and planning) is logic and development. The ability to adapt to any task, goal, idea. True generalists and perfectly able to delegate any task. Dolphins like to plan everything down to the smallest detail. Their movement towards the goal begins with a piece of paper and precise tasks, daily intervals, vision, and planning. They are capable of sailing through the waves in storms, coping with waves of even the most difficult goals. But the deadline for them is the word doesn’t exist in their dictionary. They work all the time to ensure that waves of unmanageable tasks do not take them by surprise.

They are ready for any complexity and always know the contacts of those who will gladly help them solve their difficulties and problems. Collective action is their bread and butter. They know exactly how to make sure that all goals are met on time. Moreover, if the waves hit them with the ninth wave, they are able to act decisively and achieve results.

The disadvantage of Dolphins is great depth. They can even start writing plans and apply all the analytics methods they know best in order to go shopping. Such people will easily write a book. But if you give them the task of writing one poem an hour, after a day, dolphins will be ready to give up everything. For such a task, planning is not suitable, it is too fast action for them.

The Foxes 🦊 (not today or not in the mood). They are waiting for the situation to resolve itself. Tasks exist for them so that others can perform them. It’s not a whim, it’s just another opportunity.

Their strength is the delegation of their goals, tasks, and responsibilities. They are willing to wait forever for others to do all the work for them. Tricks, manipulation, flattery are the arsenal of these cunning delegate lovers. They always have deadlines, difficulties with any task and goal.

Strengths are patience and waiting. It’s an opportunity to be anyone to achieve what you want. High adaptability. Their inner lust drives them to shine and gives them superpowers of persuasion.

Weaknesses are their movement towards the goal, steps towards the dream, and desire always require a sacrifice. The constant search for those who are ready to save a friend in a difficult moment. It’s not difficult for them to write a novel, even a hundred short stories. Others will do it for them.

Don’t worry if you haven’t found yourself. There are other types of animals and archetypes. There are even mixed types of people in terms of productivity. We’re just diving into this river.

Don’t worry, there are no good or bad Archetypes. Each of them has both a negative and a positive side. For example, the most balanced productivity Archetype is the Dolphin, the ability to cope with goals on your own and harmoniously connect others to this makes them truly indispensable. But here it is precisely the very middle, the balance. That’s important. On the one hand, they are able to quickly turn into foxes, on the other hand, if there is little time, they will not cope with tasks like Hawks.

By the way, if you measure everything on a scale in “Actions Per Second”, the Hawk will win in an hour with its fast and small steps. If in a day, the Fox will win with cunning and the ability to get a large resource for an hour. If in a month, Dolphin wins with planning, but Ox with a large load and number of goals will win. If in a year, Ox will win with a constant load and Dolphin with the delegation and proper planning.

In any case, I have tips that are useful to everyone:

  • It doesn’t matter if you like to plan or not, get a bullet journal or a notepad, an app where you add something and write down your goals and tasks. Remember, memory is also a resource. So write down all your goals in a convenient place.
  • Constantly improve your work, at least by 1% per day. But this will give you a huge result after even a month. For example, add stickers and bookmarks to BuJo, put pens and rulers closer to you. Do whatever will improve and speed up your productivity.
  • Learn every day what will make you like a pro. The more you know life hacks and tricks in your business area, the more and faster you will solve your problems.
  • Do everything in advance, like an Ox, and the deadline doesn’t catch you suddenly. Don’t forget to plan how the Dolphin and how the Hawk fly to fulfill their goals.
  • Be a bit of a Fox in search of facilitating your goals and tricks on how to achieve more in less time.

Which of these Archetypes are you? What resonates in your soul?
